Today's Tip
The FITT Principle
Have you stopped seeing results from your workouts? If so, use the FITT principle to kick your exercise routine into a higher gear. Increase the frequency of your workouts by adding an extra day. Increase the intensity by moving more quickly (for example, going from a brisk walk to a jog) or by heading to more challenging terrain (for example, walking over hills instead of on a flat surface). Increase the time you spend working out by adding 5-10 minutes to each workout. Change the type of exercise that you do—if you’re a walker, try riding your bike or taking a Spinning class.
